RACING SOUL AND EXTREME RELIABILITY

Milan, March XX 2017 – After the preview at EICMA in Milan finally time arrived for RS 125 R and SM 125 R: the last two born at SWM Motorcycles are designed for young riders and developed to revive the sport bikes passion in them.

Top performance and reliability at the highest level: these are in summary the peculiarity of the new Euro 4 homologated Enduro and Supermoto bikes, designed and made at the SWM Motorcycles factory in Biandronno (Varese, Italy). Nimble, light and nippy, RS 125 R and SM 125 R have the same structural, technical and aesthetical features of their “big sisters” RS 300 R, RS 500 R and SM 500 R giving to the young riders the possibility to “dream in big”. Design is sharp and scrappy, with strong personality able to give the funny feeling of the “shiver” and having at the same time the maximum safety to have fun. Both models are homologated also for the passenger and the fuel consumption is one of the lower in its category.

Engines

Performances and reliability on RS 125 R and SM 125 R are given by the 125 cm3 4 stroke single cylinder engine liquid cooled with double head camshaft “DOHC”, with electronic fuel injection EFI and 6 gears. 125 models have the same technology of the 300 and 500 models of the Factory, and used also on the SM 450 Racing 2017 that races in the World, European and Italian Supermoto Championship!

Cycle part

Special care and attention is reserved to the frame chassis, where the single beam double cradle main frame is the same used by the 300 and 500 and also by the SM 450 Racing 2017! Upside-Down telescopic hydraulic fork with forward axle, and the progressive Soft Damp type with single hydraulic shock absorber, give incredible feeling to the rider. The CBS (Combined Brake System) together with the Ø 260 mm front brake used by the RS 125 R and with the Ø 300 mm front brake used by the SM 125 R guarantee strong and modular braking to have the maximum safety in every condition. Enduro version fits 21” and 18” wheels respectively on the front and the rear, and Supermoto fits 17” wheels on both sides.

Design

RS 125 R and SM 125 R are both available in the two liveries Red/White and Black/White, and they’re developed to put emphasis on the aggressive and sport lines, typical of them design.
